I am very unhappy with the services I received from Boston laser.
To begin, it feels like a factory, they rush you in and out and it is incredibly impersonal. However, I assumed that maybe lasik is just like this these days, a simple standard procedure that requires little attention to the customer beyond a few quick vision tests.
However, my lasik resulted in awful night vision. I was pre-warned of the risk of “halos” and under correction but my night vision is HORRIBLE and it is very difficult to drive now (prescription when tested is 20/20). I see massive halos, double images, and seeing in dim light (in restaurants) is incredibly difficult. Even watching movies now is very uncomfortable. The doctor reacted that this is “very unusual” and referred me out to another doctor to get fitted for special (experimental) contact lenses (which he mentioned I will have to pay for out of pocket).
I understand that medical procedures come with risks, but I would have hoped for better post op care as my eyes are worse now than they were before.
I also wonder if I was a bad candidate to begin with and simply was pushed through the procedure despite the risk…
